About NLC

The National Learning Center is a center administered by the University of Colorado and has distinguished itself as a premier training provider, focusing on participant-based training products created to expressly meet customer needs. The National Learning Center is the umbrella organization for the National Veterans' Training Institute (NVTI).  NVTI is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor's Veterans' Employment and Training Service.

The Center is experienced in assisting agencies and other entities in focusing on desired outcomes, designing course materials to support those goals and implementing a finished product to customers. Current training offerings can be modified for customers and NLC products may be utilized to support instructional outcomes.

NLC has provided specialized training for the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Corrections, U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs and various state government agencies.

Our mission is to provide quality training, to our customers in their delivery of employment and transition services.

The keys to the Center's success include: dedicated staff, clear sense of mission/purpose, clear understanding of individual roles, and a shared belief that we all make an important contribution to something we all believe in (our mission).

All of the Center's products are tailored and developed by working directly with the customer to meet their specific learning needs. The products developed are available when and where the customer needs them - "the right product for the right customer at the right time."
